Lotta al Doping

Il nostro gruppo si occupa di lotta al Doping da oltre venti anni: nel 2004  abbiamo pubblicato il primo studio al mondo capace di mettere in relazione meccanismi autoregolativi e sistemi di convinzioni con le scelte individuali in materia di uso di sostanze dopanti nello sport, per migliorare l’aspetto estetico e/o la prestazione. Il Direttore del gruppo, Fabio Lucidi, è membro della National Anti Doping Organization, nel Comitato per l’Educazione e la Formazione (Cefar). All’interno di cornici teoriche ben definite come la Teoria del Comportamento Pianificato e la Teoria Social-Cognitiva, abbiamo sviluppato test e questionari per atleti di sport individuali e di squadra. Unendo l’interesse per la prestazione sportiva con quella scolastica abbiamo valutato come i meccanismi alla base dell’uso di sostanze dopanti siano simili a quelli legati all’uso di sostanze stimolanti per lo studio o per la preparazione agli esami scolastici o universitari. Negli anni, collaborando con alcuni tra i più prestigiosi gruppi in Europa, in Australia e negli Stati Uniti abbiamo messo a punto modelli di interpretazione e di intervento adottati a livello internazionale. All’interesse per lo studio dei meccanismi alla base dell’uso di sostanze dopanti, negli anni si è affiancato anche l’interesse per lo sviluppo di strategie e interventi educativi antidoping e per la valutazione sistematica della loro efficacia. Nel complesso, tale interesse ha portato allo sviluppo, sia in ambito nazionale che internazionale, di interventi sostenuti da finanziamenti di prestigiosi enti di ricerca come il Ministero della Salute italiano, l’unione Europea (EU), il Comitato Olimpico Internazionale (IOC) e l’Agenzia Mondiale Antidoping (WADA). In essi abbiamo lavorato sui valori sportivi (progetto SMART), sulla valorizzazione delle scelte consapevoli  (progetto SAFE YOU), sulla credibilità delle istituzioni antidoping (progetto LEGIT), sulla capacità di riconoscere e valutare in modo critico i messaggi provenienti dai media (progetto MEDIA LITERACY).
