Biografy
Francesco has been an athlete of the Italian national team of Modern Pentathlon, awarded with a Badge of Sport (Bronze Star) of Italian sport.
After concluding his sports career, he completed his studies in Psychology, at the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and entered the Doctoral School in Psychological Sciences of the Department of Psychology of Development and Socialization Processes.
Currently, he is a doctoral student, a registered psychologist and a member of the sports technical sector for the sports group “Fiamme Oro” of the State Police.
As a doctoral student, his main scientific-disciplinary field is related to Psychometrics (M-PSI/03). His main research interest refers to sports psychology, with specific regard to the perceptual-cognitive processes underlying sports performance, using cutting-edge technological tools, such as virtual reality and oculometry (eye-tracking). In addition, he is skilled in the validation of psychometric tools related to research and evaluation, through the use of multivariate statistical analysis for the analysis of data structure and the relationship between variables, such as exploratory / confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation models.
